rain barrels

Hi this is the first time I have done this.  There has been alot of
talking about rain barrels.  Last
year with the y2k thing I thought it might happen. (glad it didn't
though).  I was very concerned
how I would water my garden if I didn't have power.  I did have
generator but didn't want to
use my gas.   So I came up with a idea of having a 3foot pool with
cover.  That holds alot of water
I really feel that this country is going to go through a shortage of
water just about everywhere.
My second comment is about critters.   I have a Aussie Shepperd.  She
takes care of the critters.
She is a working dog and just loves chaseing kitty cats, deer, bears,
birds.  she has been trained to
go around the beds.    Thats all for now.   Patti zone 8  Oregon
