Good for you. As long as you maintain the pile aerobically to keep down
on odors you shouldn't be deemed a nuisance.
BTW Try searching on Dandy Lions. You will find they are quite edible.
The buds make an excellent wine, The stems are added to spaghetti sauce, The
leaves are used like lettuce, and the roots when dried and ground make a
good herbal tea. I started an extensive string of posts by asking one
question on Dandy Lion Wine.
