Hi there, It is my understanding that the German (Matricaria chamomilla) is
the only real chamomile. It depends on what book you read I guess. Anyway,
what you would want to do is to pour the boiling water over the blossoms and
then cover the mixture until it has cooled. When it has cooled you need to
strain it into a bottle and then spray/mist on your plants. Not so much that
they are drenched. Just moist.
You can also just soak the blossoms in cold water for a day or two and then
mist your plants. I found that tip in the book "Carrots Love Tomatoes" by
Louise Riotte. It is a great book all about companion planting for your
garden. It's a fabulous book!
