Hi Jessica,  I have not read the other book.  The last time I was at the book 
store they were out of stock.  I plan to order it because I just put in about 
15 roses and could use all the help I can get! I have just started all this 
gardening stuff and I'm loving it.  I think the SQFT. method is the greatest 
and can't wait for the weather to warm up here in Oregon. I have just started 
some seeds and I hope I don't have any damping off either.  Good Luck,
