I suspect someone else may have a better answer, but I'll give it a try:)

Tomatillos are a native American relative of the tomato and are commonly
used in salsa and many Central and South American dishes.  The plants look
quite a bit like tomatoes and have similar indeterminate growing habits.
The fruit forms inside of sticky papery husks.  When they're ripe they fall
or pull easily off of the vine and the husk has begun splitting open.  They
have a slightly tart/tangy flavor which is a little hard to explain:) and
are about the size of cherry tomatoes.

I've seen seeds available in several places including Seeds of Change and
Tomato Growers Supply that come to mind.

Definately worth a try in my opinion:)
