okra spacing

I saw this subject recently on one of the lists, perhaps it was
SQFT...?

Anyway, last year I grew okra and spaced them approximately 10-12"
apart.  If you're using exact 12" squares, then 12" is easiest;
however, I only grew one row of it (it's prolific!). If you're
growing more than one row of it, you might want to space the rows out
a bit more, perhaps interspersing with a shorter crop of some sort,
so you can get in to the plants and do the harvesting.

I didn't bother sowing my okra seeds indoors. They did just fine by
themselves outside in our Texas sun! Once they get started, they
just go and go and go!! Stand back!

P.S. I grew Clemson Spineless last year, and this year I'm going to
try the new Cajun variety that's out.
