I grew them when I was back in Singapore and I'm going to grow some this year in Texas! I hope they do well. It is also great stir fried with some mince pork and garlic. Oh BTW, we're referring to the young green gourds. I did not realize that luffa was used as a sponge till I arrived in the USA. We never let our gourds get to that point except for when collecting seeds.
