Hi. I'm usually just a lurker, but thought I'd weigh in on Burpee Seed
Co. I've ordered from them for the past few years and I find their service
prompt. The germination rate on the seeds has been excellent (with a few
exceptions that I think were my fault!) The one time they accidentally
overbilled me, they apologized and fixed it immediately. I have no connection
to the company other than as a satisfied customer - just thought I'd share my
experience.
One bit of advice - if you have a Home Depot or Lowe's store near you, go
there before buying out of the catalog. I'm pretty sure both stores carry
Burpee, and they offer something like a 40% discount off the catalog price.
The only hitch is that these mega-stores don't offer the more exotic seeds
from the catalog.
