Milorganite is a product of the Milwaukee Sewerage District and has been on
the market for more than 20 years. It doesn't smell bad and adds useful
humus elements back into depleted soil. If there is *anything* to worry
about with this product, it would be the possible buildup of toxic metals in
the material owing to concentration during the purification process. I
think it's perfectly safe.
