The Early Girl variety does well in southwestern Colorado too. I have grown
this variety for two years now and the plants mature and produce much
earlier than the slower growing varieties such as Beefmaster. The growing
season is short here in some places --- we sometimes see snowfall as early
as September so I needed a plant that would give fruit quickly. I planted
in late April and had tomatoes by early June. However, they're small
tomatoes and don't seem to have the good flavor of the bigger ones.
