If you have the saranwrap over it to hold in moisture/protect the seeds
from washing away, then taking the saran wrap off is probably the best
Idea...UNLESS,

        a) you live in Alaska, Kentucky or other Frozen YankeeLike Area.8-)
        b) you are not going to be there to take care of the plants daily.

I live in Florida and leaving the saran wrap on would likely cause
fungus in a day or two, also the sprouts would hit the saranwrap and
bend over!8-(
BTW, I put my tomatoes out on Jan 15 and will have some ripe this week.
But don't feel bad, by July nothing will be growing but Habeneros,
Cherry tomatoes and New Zealand spinach. Okra and eggplant would grow
but NOT IN MY GARDEN!8-O

I have a question for someone knowledgable about Curcurbits. I have
very poor results with all my Squash, zukes, cukes, etc due to some sort
of moldy spots that invade despite my most carefull attention. I have
avoided watering the leaves, and used fresh soil each crop. I do not
compost the damaged crop leaves. Yet every year I get the same spots.
Pretty, white, completly circular spots on the underside of healthy
leaves. Same on older stems and leaves (Top and Bottom) that eventually
wither the whole leave then the stem. I have contacted the Ag center and
they sent me flyers on a couple things that it's NOT. It's not Gummy
stem blight, and it's not Alternaria Leafspot. I say it is not these
things because the photos they sent on the flyers don't look like it.
It's not White fly causing mildew from the excreta (at least my white
fly traps caught none).
I have had full trellises of cucumber vines die from the ground up in a
few days. I cut off the affected leaves but it's on the vine too!
Any help with possible cures would be appreciated. I'm thinking of
trying the baking soda wash this year. It just started on my Spagetti
Squash (and it was growing so good with early fruit!)
                Thanks.
