Could it be powdery mildew? My zukes got it pretty bad last year, but
only after producing most of the season, and I used a homemade spray
to get rid of it - I can't immediately recall what. My cukes got it too,
but they didn't shrivel up and die right away. It took several weeks.
Just a guess...hope you figure out what it was.
