Hi Dot, > Hello everyone, I am considering ordering some remay to cover my tomatoes > (when their ready to go outside). Comments anyone? Thanks, Dot When my tomatoes are ready for the garden, hardened off to cooler temperatures but not yet full sun, I put them out near where I'm going to plant them and cover them with reemay. In the morning I take the reemay off for an hour or two the first day then cover them up again for the balance. I keep doing this for 4-5 days, increasing the uncovered period until they're used to the full sun. I do the same thing with peppers, eggplants, etc., especially basil, which is very sensitive to UV light and burns easily. I find it an easier way to harden off to full sun than moving the plants themselves back and forth. > Dot Geib > In Pitt Meadows, BC Canada, > Where it's finally stopped raining Thank goodness for that! That was quite the rainstorm. At least it wasn't snow, as they're still getting back east. Happy Spring!
