Thank you everyone, for all the advice and suggestions as to how to treat
powdery mildew. At least I've got some hope that I'll be able to save my
cucumber seedlings. I plan to try the epsom salts recipe first as I'll also
add a handful when planting my tomatoes. Does anyone know if the addition
of magnesium sulfate is beneficial to other veggies?
Thanks also for comments on the use of Remay. I've recently purchased some
for my raised garden beds. I'm wondering if I should be removed it during
the day? The primary reason I'm using it is to keep my seedlings a little
warmer at night, but I'm afraid that it might keep the plants too moist and
cause fungus infections, as we have been getting so much rain here.
I read Mel's SQFT gardening book a several months ago, that I got from the
library, and so much of it I couldn't remember, so today I purchased my own
copy, and now I won't have to bug you so often with all my newbie questions.
This is a great book! I really have appreciated the effort you all have made
to help me at my first real attempt at gardening.
