When I was in grade school (in the mid '70s),
the metric system was drilled into me over
and over. They told us that by 1980, there
simply wouldn't be feet or gallons or pounds
or hours and stuff anymore. It would all be
metric. If I'm not mistaken, 1980 is just
around the corner...we better get crackin'!
