It's not a disease rating; it refers to the plant's breeding. That said, F1
hybrids are *usually* more disease resistant than other varieties.

'Sweet 100' is the one usually found in garden centers. It is
indeterminate, and quite rampant. Space it as you would any indeterminate,
but allow two vines to grow instead of one.

I've always direct-seeded them with no problems. I think 75-85F may be a
better temperature range for cantaloupe germination.
