Hi!
I did grow potatoes last year in a garbage can, but I'll never do it
again! It was fun to watch grow, you add another layer of soil each time
the leaves are about 4 inches above ground, until you get to the top. I
started with about 8 starts. I was so excited when it was harvest time,
but I only got about 15 golf ball sized potatoes. I was so disappointed,
they were to most expensive potatoes I ever put into a stew! My father in
law grows them this way too, and has had much better results. I think I
may have over watered, a bad habit of mine, I don't know... Laura
