Seems like I read about this when I was a kid in one of Laura Ingalls
Wilder's books. I think that it was Farmer Boy.... She gave a great
detailed description of feeding the pumpkin milk so he could have it
ready for the fair....Now I am goignt o have to check it out and see !!

   My 9 year old daughter has a copy of this book, so we looked it up!  You
were right, page 191!  Thanks!  It did have a great description of milking
pumpkins, now I think I'm going to have to read the whole book to see what
other great tidbits of information we can use!  Thanks for the tip!  Laura
