I had heard this and tried it, I ended up with many dead ants... but not with a
dead Ant Hill. 

	I have had the best luck with 5 gals of boiling water poured on the hill. When
I can't reach them with water, Orthene. Boric acid, while it works great on most
sugar ants, doesn't seem to touch the carnivorous Fire Ant.
	To me there are only two types of ants that need to be killed... Fire Ants,
based on my memory of my little sister running into the house with thousands of
them in her hair, ears, mouth and eyes, and any ants my lovely wife says need to
be killed... the rest just require convincing to live where they are not a pest.
