One bush type summer squash will take up a 3 x 3 ft area --most of 4 x 4
ft block. Smaller crops can be planted in the remaining squares around the
edges.
Four bush type tomatoes can be planted per 4 x 4 ft block. So yes, each
bush type tomato requires 4 sq ft. (Remember, each 4 x 4 ft block contains
16 sq ft).
