I will try. I have his book before me. The first is the basic
fertilizer.
N P K
1 part blood meal 15.0 1.3 .7
2 parts bone meal 8.0 44.0 .4
3 parts wood ashes --- 4.5 21.0
4 parts composted leaf mold 2.4 .8 1.6
The high nitrogen mixture follows.
3 parts blood meal 45.0 3.9 2.1
2 parts bone meal 8.0 42.0 .4
3 parts wood ashes --- 4.5 21.0
4 parts leaf mold 2.4 .8 1.6
The soil mix is a little longer.
In 4*4 boxes you have 16 cubic feet so at 6 inches deep you would need 8
cubic feet at 9 inches it would be 12 cubic feet. The ingredients are.
1bale peet moss: 6 cu. ft.
1large bag coarse vermiculite:4 cu. ft.
10 pails (2 1/2 gal) of sand:3 cu. ft.
2 pails wood ashes and charcoal
10 pails (2 1/2gal.) of compost: 3 cu. ft
1 coffee can (1 LB size) full of lime
1 coffee can full of organic fertilizers
The total volume is 16 cu. ft. or 1 bed 4 ft. by 4 ft. by 12 inches deep.
Those are the three mixes from Mel's book. If you need any more help
with them, give a holler. I hope they are what you are looking for.
