Re: Cucumber vs. zucchini cross pollinating

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Well- I hope it is just the seeds that have a problem- altho- I will be
happy to try anything strange that pops up! My neighbors are all peeping
over the fence at my two beds full of stuff telling me the same thing a bout
the crosses- but they are also shaking their heads and saying there is no
way that this SQ ft thing will work. I want to say-"GO away and stop
discouraging me or you won't get any tomatoes!"LOL! The other thing that
everyone is dubious about is the lasagna beds-.I guess it will be ok or fail
miserably. One thing about the lasagna beds- you have to water a lot more-
just in case anyone is thinking about them. And you really have to make them
at least a foot deep-at least that is how it seems to me- mine are raised.
The 8 inch one just didn't seem to have enough room for soil on top so I
added another rim of 4 inch boards. So far I have only lost some cilantro
and a melon. It is HOT here and I am still shading things part of the day
with my overturned milk crates-for the hottest part of the day.I am having
FUN!!!!!!!-Teri
