Some organic fertilizers --- bone meal, for example --- should be
fine.  (Unless it's carrying BSE/scrapie/CJD, which is debatable.)

Your comments on "organic" are right on, though --- belladonna,
urushiol, cocaine, oleander, death caps, chocolate, and numerous other
deadly poisons are perfectly organic.  (Well, urushiol apparently isn't
toxic to dogs, and chocolate isn't toxic to humans, but you get the
idea.)

Even in the not-deadly category, you wouldn't want to eat burned meat
drippings or Dr. Bronner's Soap, no matter how organic they are.
