Hi Katherine...I germinated my blue lake beans and
pinto beans without soaking. They both germinated in about 5 days and then grew
up very quickly...

Hi Katherine, This year I did not soak my Blue Lake seeds nor innoculate them and it seems that I've had better results than I have had in the past when I did both...how do you figure??? Did you plant bush type? Try planting a square without soaking, if you have the room, and see if you can tell the difference. For me, I would have to say that it has probably had more to do with the temperature/weather. My garden overall has done SO much better this spring than last.
