I joined this list in the early spring just to see what you all were doing.

I did some sq ft gardening but also alot of container gardening due to
the gopher problem we have here in east TX.  Sure enought they have
already killed some plants but we are havesting lots of squash, radishes,
and peppers with cucumber, tomatoes and beans on the way.  
The containers work great and save lots of watering.  A pumkin
plant has taken over my 4x8 compost pile and everything around it.
It's so pretty, we decided to keep it.
