Hi Kitty,
Yes, I do water very often. But last the last 2 yrs I would water for
hours and the next day everything was still wilting due to the drought
and heat. We are on a well so I had to just let everything die.
Now even though I'm still watering every day it's much less water
and my time is really cut way down. I also have a 4 x 8 raised bed,
10 inches deep and it is very water saving. I really want to go
completely to container and deep raised beds. It just gets so hot here
we can't spare the water. I have 2 bathtubs full of veggies. Although we
have
sq. ft gardened for yrs, the water is now becoming a problem. I positioned
one of the tubs next to a fence and we have nice running veggies all over it.
These and the large tubs we get mineral blocks in for our cows, have been
a real saver this year.
Edith
