Re: seedling question
Hi Pat...
I'm from Mentor, Ohio (up by the lake) which is about 45 mins. north of
Akron.
I have seedlings growing under lights and am waiting to get them outside.
Jim is correct about needing lights to grow them indoors and also about
keeping the lighting approximately 2 inches above the seedlings. This height
keeps them from growing spindly. You can purchase fluorescent fixtures and
grow lights any place (like Walmart)...they're not expensive.
I'm going to experiment with the those plastic "walls of water" this
season and will put a couple of tomato and pepper plants outside in
them...within the next two weeks?...to see how they work.
I agree on the cucumber issue and also plant the seeds directly into the
ground once the danger of frost has past.
