Hello, fellow Square Foot Gardeners. I have been having fabulous success with spinach in my garden. I planted them 9 to a square as Mel recommends, gave them lots of nitrogen, and have been rewarded with beautiful, shiny, crinkly leaves that are just about ready to harvest. Now the problem...I am now 8 weeks pregnant, and due to the accompanying queasy tummy, have no desire to eat my bountiful harvest! :-o Could someone please pass along some tips for successfully freezing my spinach so I can enjoy it later when my "all-day" sickness subsides. Do you blanch it first? Chop it or freeze whole? Can I also freeze arugula, I have a bumper crop of that as well. Thanks and happy gardening, Wendy Nibeck Maryland, Zone 7 *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
