I have just started my first sqft garden and could use some advice on
how to get my baby plants off to a good start. I'm worried because the
garden is very exposed and we have had very strong winds that are
battering the seedlings and drying out the soil over the seeds that I
planted. I have tried to support the seedlings as best I could but would
like to hear some other methods. I know stakes might damage the roots
but I don't know what else to do. I tried to shield them with plastic over
wire cages but the wind blew the whole cage away!
I'm also worried about keeping the seeds moist. I laid plastic down on the
ground and anchored the corners to keep the water from evaporating
but the wind blew those away too. Help!
