Re: Brandywine tomatoes

Have a little patience... mine behaved the same at first, I almost
even pulled them out! But now that the days are in the 70s and 80s
and nights in the 50s they're doing quite well. Mine seem to be very
susceptible to fungal infections (so much rain this spring),
especially blackspot, so make sure you keep an eye out.

     Good Luck!

Hello all,
I'm trying to grow pink Brandywine tomatoes and they have been in the
ground now for about two weeks, the problem is that they don't seem to
be doing anything. I know that they are very slow bloomers but does that
also pertain to how they grow? Could it be that the nights have still
been to cold(about in the 40's/50's)? Did I not harden them off
enough(only about 2 or 3 days). I also had posted a question a week or
so ago about protecting them from some very cold nights, could it be
that they were affected more than I thought they were from this cold?
Most important, should I keep them covered until the nights stay at a
more comfortable temperature(like steady 50's)? Will they come back?
They aren't dying they're just not growing!
Help!
