Re: Aphid control


Hi Clark

This is a recipe that I have used for aphids that attack my water lilies.
I would think it would be fine for "land" aphids as well.   The main
concern for water gardeners, of course, is not to add anything that would
upset the biological balance, or harm fish or other aquatic life.


Mix 1 tablespoon of dish detergent (I like lemon Joy, as the citric acid
seems to help)
with
1 cup of salad oil

Mix well.  Add 1-2 teaspoons of this mixture to one cup of water.  Shake
well and spray with a mist bottle directly on the affected plants.  We
repeat this treatment weekly.
