I am doing my gardening in Mel's patio boxes this year because I'm
renting and can't see spending that much money on someone elses soil
(it's all clay here). My problem is that I can't seem to find
vermiculite in large quantities. The biggest I have found is 8 QT bag,
which is only about 1/3 of a cubic foot, for $2.66. It would cost me
$32 to buy all I need. Does anyone know of a better place to get it. If
not, is there something I can use in place of the vermiculite Mel calls
for.
Any help is appreciated,
Mary Peterson
