JC,
My zukes and my cucumbers loved growing in among the corn rows. I
think they do nicely as companion plants. Both are heavy feeders
though. Someone wrote that zucchini does not trail, mine don't either,
though they do get large enough to fill a 4 X 4 block. My pumpkins and
cucumbers do trail and will invade anything nearby.
Good luck,
Shawn

I have moved recently and my book is in a box, somewhere. Eeek!
So I planted by memory. I planted corn and peppers at 1 square each. I
have 5 tomatoes with 2 squares each, is that right?
I still have cantaloupe, cucumbers, and soy beans to plant. All will be
supported on trellises, how much soil do they require each?
Can I plant a zucchini among the corn, and allow it to trail off into a
weed patch next to the raised bed? If it won't cohabitate with the corn,
how much soil does it require if I plan to train it to trail off the raised
bed into a non-cultivated area? Ditto for Pumpkin.
How closely can I plant giant stalk (fragrant flowers)? Sunflowers?
TIA
jc
