Ant on plants

Yesterday I noticed ants climbing on my peppers, squash, and eggplant.
They seemed to be taking little white eggs from under the leaves of the
plants. The plants do have a few little holes in them but it doesn't look
like the ants are doing it. I have seen wasps in the garden and suspect
they are putting the holes in the leaves. Should I take any action or are
the ants OK.

BTW I live in north Texas.

Thanks for any advice.

Norm
