1)Do hot peppers have to be staked? My hubby says he doesn't remember ever staking 'em but it seems like an aweful lot of weight to bare. 

2)I once heard from here that certain plants are beneficial for others. However, I can't remember if it is onion or garlic that is helpful to carrots. Anyone remember?
