>Hi John,
>
>For the last two days I've been buzzing to meetings on a rented scooter
>(visitors are not allowed to rent cars here.) The SFG has the backing and
>support of a multitude organisations such as the Bermuda National Trust,
>Bermuda Botanical Society, Bermuda Zoological Society, Bermuda Aquarium,
>Department of Agriculture, etc.
>
>With the help of all these good people we will introduce in the next few
>weeks our garden program to all the public and private schools on the
>island. We plan to donate either 3x3 tabletop garden or a 4x4 ground
>display garden to every school.
>
>By the way, a sheet of plywood costs $55 here.! WOW!! Ice cream cost $10.50
>a half gallon -and gas costs $1.18 -but that's for a litre and you don't
>get very far on a litre.
>
>Our reception and seminar is still on for Sat. Nov. 8 at 4:00PM, but has
>been shifted to Aberfeldy Nursery near downtown Hamilton. Today The Royal
>Gazette did an hour-long interview and took some color photographs. The
>interview was conducted at the Bermuda Aquarium in front of a huge (10x30)
>fish-tank, all the while a diver was swimming upside down cleaning the
>coral with a toothbrush.
>
>There will be more meetings next week and I will keep you informed as
>things develop.
