I also had a good crop of Anaheims (New Mexican variety), Jalapenos, and
Anchos. The Northstar F1's did much better this year than last year, but
not as good as the Purple Beauties. Production did drop slightly in the
very hot weather, but they were still producing blossoms and peppers when I
tore them all out two weekends ago (alas, to make room for winter). I
roasted some and froze them on a cookie sheet, and the rest I froze whole
and uncooked. I'd love to have the room to overwinter them, and with a
little protection I'm sure I could, but I am too afraid of diseases setting
in if I don't rotate my beds. This year, same as last, there were no signs
of root knot nematodes on any of my tomato or pepper roots - healthy, and
incredibly long.

Just another pepper success story.
