Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi rfdillon,
Sorry I can't help too much, but I also had a similar question. I have been
saving small coffee cans for months now, and have lots of them. I was going to
use them to start seedlings. Any suggestions on yes or no to use them? Should I
cut them off halfway so I don't have to use so much planting material? Should I
punch holes in the bottom and sit them in a pan of water? I won't be using
growlights since I live in So. Calif. I previously have planted seeds directly
in my garden, but I'm sick of the cutworms killing my new sprouts. This spring
I'm planning on putting my seedlings under a wooden frame covered in plastic
(only to keep the cats and dogs out, and to give a little protection from cold
nights). Anybody see anything I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Shawn
