Dear Friends- Question: Does anyone know
we could find a free web site host where various smaller web sites could be
designed and linked together? Hopefully, it should be free of
overly invasive advertising, easy to use and available to all. And did I
mention free? lol.Any suggestion you may have would be appreciated.
The Square Foot Gardening Journey! www.sqftjourney.homstead.com
web site has closed by the host due to financial needs of the hosting
server Homestead. I cannot even get on the site myself to save/download the
various pages (16 at last count) because I have changed my email address
and have forgotten the password. sigh...
Every attempt to reach the homestead company people has failed- no email
for Homestead customer support is accepted, period. I have no way to communicate
with my benefactors so unless something unexpected happens the Journey! site is
lost. I am sorry to say your kind submissions to the clematis page isappears
to be lost as well.
After some reflection perhaps a change in web
site direction may be good. The Journey! site was quite
large and not at all restricted to sqfting gardening. Perhaps breaking down the
various topics addressed in the Journey! site would be called for.
Maybe smaller, more focused sites would be more suitable
considering the varied topics like rain water storage/collection, square foot
gardening, clematis planting and care, soil improvement, beneficial perennials
for the garden, trellis/arbor construction, garden paths design , vertical
gardening, site selection, garden design, gardening books of
interest.
Any comments?
Haveagreatday,
bill missen.
