I just picked the last cucs, beans, and corn plants for the composter from
the beds yesterday. I feel a little bit sad that summer is over so soon. We are
taking heavier frosts almost nightly now. Only our clematis is still trying to
flower along with the odd tougher rose.
How is it in zones other than zone 3 here in Alberta? Still warm enough for
tomatoes to fruit? I think some of the plants need more sun than our back yard
can give them. Next year we will try a set of veggies in the front yard to get
the west sun. Tomatoes, a few corn, some carrots, peppers, maybe cucs and beans
too. Lots of soil just dug up beside a new sidewalk in our front yard.
Have a great day,
bill missen.
