Based on the feedback I got - I'm going ahead with the raised garden this weekend. I read in the SQFT guide that I should avoid strains of long carrots - because of the depth they need - and go for the stubby, round types. Are there any other vegetable conflicts known for this approach. One more question. What, if anything, do I have to do when setting up. I plan to rake aside the gravel (no lawn, just desert landscaping). Is that correct? Do I have to do anything to the ground underneath the gravel or can I just 'do my thing' right on top of it? Remember, I can't dig - would be more successful with dynamite if I had to take that approach <g>. Thanks for your info.
