Private conversations/ Building new beds

Stop giving Stephanie a hard time--she's right--this stuff is mainly between the
two of you and should be a private conversation. Especially if you get into the
workmen's comp stuff--nothing against it, it just doesn't belong on a SQFT
list...

Now, more to the point (of a SQFT list anyway), I have determined that I have to
move my SQFT beds because they are being shaded by the neighbor's fence. I have
lawn where I intend to move them. Is it critical that I remove the sod, or can
 I
kill it by smothering it with plastic, newspapers, leaves, etc for 2 months
 until
it cools off around here and I can face that task of moving all my good dirt to
its new location??
