Raised Beds

I agree with Holly.  Sometimes raised beds are not necessary or even
desirable.  If you have good drainage and well conditioned soil, you may
have to water more often with raised beds.  We just plant in wide rows and
blocks.  The concept is the same, you just don't have to raise the level of
your planting area.  It works great for us.
