I use my 'Garden Blender' for the same thing. I either layer it into
compost or mix it into worm bedding. I don't know if worms can actually
use it this way but it doesn't seem to hurt.
Just spread it thin, it will cause anaerobic decomposition if it gets
all in a lump. But seems to work well mixed into leafy compost.
