Doreen, I'm always looking for the easiest and quickest way to do things in my garden as I am only about 105 lbs. --don't have a lot of muscle to work with, but I do love to garden and I hate to keep asking everyone for help with this and that. I love to garden----they don't. But as far as making holes in plastic buckets, I have to say that a hot soldering iron works like a charm. It goes right through the thickest plastic, doesn't crack anything and you can make the holes whatever size you want. Try it--it sure beats hammering nails into them. Marion Simmons-famous for just lurking, but learning a lot.
