Hi - All my basil plants are wilting and dying. They were all thriving for
a while. They started dying off even before it started getting a bit cooler
Im in philadelphia and my garden is on a rooftop - so it dries out really
quickly (I also only have 6" of soil in there - hope to put in more next
year) - but I water it constantly - so im not sure if its overwatering or
all the drying out and rooftop heat - I give it fertilizer regurlarly - I
must admit I overcrowded them a bit putting 4 in a square rather than one
but you would think after a few of them died the ones left would stretch
out - or is it typical of basil to start dying out in august/september (my
first time growing green basil - i grew purple basil last year and it was a
lot more hardy)
Also a storm hit and blew my pepper plants down - I know peppers are
sensitive to wind - has anyone else had this problem and what contraptions
did you contrive to get them upright - did you just simply stake them up?
thanks alot - mark gibson
