Re: spoon tomatoes

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Yes, I got a package of spoon tomatoes a few years ago from Parks. Each year
I break open a few and spread the seeds on the brown paper towels we use at
school
and let them dry for a few days. Then I can cut up the towels and store the
seeds till I want to plant them. To plant them I just lay the paper on
vermiculite and cover over with more vermiculite like Mel suggests.
They are something, about the size of peas but taste like tomatoes. We have
some growing at school now but with 88-90+ temps they are not setting. I
hope they continue till the weather cools off or I think I got a few to
plant from last year.
I have a picture from Parks catalog that I show at school and I will bring
it home next week, scan the pix and post it so you can look at it.
Take care.
