Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Olin,
Please forgive my ignorance, once again...I am new to vegetables.
I didn't realize you could grow corn this late in the season.
I looked corn up in the book, and it says the last planting should be
planted 2 to 4 weeks before the first freeze. I also read it takes longer
for the harvest the later the crop, about 12 to 13 weeks. Is this because of
the heat change? I have always thought you needed heat for corn.
But of course if I think it through, the Indians did have corn for the
Thanksgiving meal. Hmm..is it too late for me to try some?
Are there better varieties to choose from?
Peg
