Re: dark spathes


The same thing happened with PANDORA'S PURPLE this spring.  It's been a
long time since I saw it bloom.  Quite a startling sight.  Much more
pigment on spathes than on leaf bases.

The cool wet weather seems to be really amplifying pigments here - leaf
bases & elsewhere.  HARVEST OF MEMORIES has much more purple on leaf
bases now than it did earlier in the spring.

So, maybe yours is atypical this year?  Pretty though.
