[PHOTO] Enchanted Mesa TB and Mid America Rhizomes

Enchanted Mesa (Magee 1997) Mirror Image x Acoma. This is the result of fall
planting of a Mid America AKA Paul Black rhizome. Perhaps rhizome care
affects the first year stalk production in commercially grown rhizomes-
better care, better stalks.

For sure first year "bounce" is determined by the quality and care given such
rhizomes. Sterling has already attested to the care given irises at Mid
America. The wonderful thing about Mid America is when they say great stalks
in their catalog, you can believe the words. Both Dural Snowflake and
Enchanted Mesa were so identified in Mid America's catalog. They are battin'
100% here making their catalog a valued resource for identifying irises with
the capacity to produce superior stalks.
